On August 5, Simon Willison pointed Claude Fable 5 — running inside Claude Code for web — at a tweet he posted in 2022 containing a raccoon-heist game concept generated by GPT-3 plus DALL-E concept art, and asked it to build the whole thing. He ran it on the fourth anniversary of the tweet, to the day.
The output is playable in the browser, with the source on GitHub. Willison's own verdict is measured: "It did a pretty good job of it" — a demo, not a benchmark.
The framing is the point. The 2022 artifact was a paragraph of text and some images that a human would have had to build; the 2026 artifact is the game itself, from the same prompt material, in one shot, in a hosted agent session.
In the same window, The Claudyssey — a line-for-line Fable 5 translation of Homer's Odyssey — drew 14 points and 13 comments on Hacker News. Long-horizon one-shot outputs are becoming the informal eval of choice.
