Anthropic's cyber-capable Mythos leaked before launch, shipped only to vetted defenders, and then started finding real flaws at scale.

It shipped in June to vetted cyberdefenders only, found mathematical weaknesses in the HAWK signature scheme and reduced AES in July, and by September Epoch was tying a jump in critical CVE disclosures — from 84 a month to 606 — to it and to Project Glasswing.
